Artist Statement

Alistiar Drummond is an expressive artist based in Worcester, Massachusetts that finds delight in examining the connection between technology and emotion. With this, he seeks to draw out the human condition and to reveal universal truths. His work employs techniques of pareidolia, expressionism and surrealism. His projects aim to challenge the common definitions of space, reality and the unknown. He strives to create immersive experiences that cut across different cultures and generations while stimulating the public's curiosity upon interaction with his work.

Drummond’s works are aesthetically rich through the incorporation of digital imagery, vibrant colors, and geometric shapes; together these elements create emotional landscapes of feelings, energies, and light. He approaches his pieces through abstract symbolism and explores the human tendency to ascribe deep meaning from what appears to be chaotic scenes. The forms he employs reflect the dynamism of life– unique figures filled with the ebb and flow of energy and passion for being while conveying stories of transformation and growth.

By creating an enveloping and captivating visual world, Drummond elevates the mundane, and invites his audience to explore with hopes to create an environment of enhanced cooperation and understanding between our natural and scientific worlds.
